New granny square crochet blanket, new collection and other stuff

Hello everybody,

I finally also decided to buy myself this book...and surprise surprise,
I already fell for a certain project

The camelia blanket

As I had some nice leftover yarn, I did some grannys with it...
Here's the result:

The white wool is from Lana Grossa Lina Pura Cashsilk (wonderful wool, really soft and looks absolutely great in my opinion)

The flowers were made according book...and yes...they don't look good and I know I can do better
For my blanket I'll be using different colours and other wool- and I will create an own pattern for
the flowers...because if I work according the book, they look like this...

For the non flower grannys I used the basic granny square pattern.

Well thats it from this project...here are the other projects I'm currently working on:

This is the very first headband of my winter collection for 2013/14.
I really love the colour combination <3

I found some leftover wool from my granny blanket, so i started working on a pillow with the same pattern.

This is it for now - I really can't wait to continue working on these projects <3

All the best to all of you!

PS: Pictures were all taken with my Canon EOS 600D+macro objective :)

Beanies and headbands collection 2009-2013

Hello everybody,
today I want to show you my a part of the beanies and headbands I made in the last 4 years:

The first few works were made with cheap
wool that I got from some supermarket.

For later projects, I switched to better
quality wool.

Here's a list of wool I used for my beanies:

Schachenmayr Boston
MyBoshi
Lana Grossa Mille II

When looking at my beanies,
you will also notice that I switched my
way of making flowers.

So far, quite many people asked me what the most difficult pattern for me was.
For me, the chess pattern (see next image) is one of the most difficult ones as you are working with two colours and you constantly need to check the number of stitches you made + you also have to check that your work does not get too tight.

As you have probably noticed, I have made some beanies twice-
this was due to the fact that some people saw my beanies and wanted to have a beanie with the same colour/pattern- but in the end, each beanie is
unique :)

This beanie is probably one of my "masterpieces". I made it for a friend of mine who is allergic to wool.
Due to this, I had to used a 100% cotton yarn for this work. It took me quite a long time to finish this beanie as
the cotton yarn is EXTREMELY thin and you only make slow progress.

This is one of the beanies I made for my older sister. It is the only beanie for which I made a bobble. The sparkling stones on the beanie are special stones from Swarovski which you can iron on fabric/wool/yarn ect.

And here are some of the headbands I've made in the last years

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me :)

Crochet Pillow

Hello there,

this is what can happen when I'm too bored:

I picked up some wool/yarn rests and crocheted these granny squares:

This granny is one of my very favourites;

As far as I remember it is called "Dog rose" ("Heckenrose" in german)

And so at the end of the day I had made 2 fluffy crochet pillows :)

But I couldn't stop- so i used additional wool leftovers from beanies for another pillow, and this is the result:

Here you can see the center "granny"

And this is what the pillow looks like
